Where the money goes
Monthly spending goes overwhelmingly to direct support for the people in the programme. There is no payroll: the people doing the follow-up are volunteers or work in one of our partner public services.

The Institute also covers the team's transport to the person's home on visit days. That is the only significant operating expense outside direct support.

Governance and team
The Institute is run by a largely volunteer team, working alongside the public services of São Carlos.
